About me

I grew up in Germany and migrated to Australia in 2001. I have lived and worked in the Northern Rivers region of NSW ever since. I have a partner, live in a blended family and am a step grandmother to many grandchildren.

My therapeutic background spans many years of assisting in group therapy work within residential retreat settings. This includes approaches such as Primal Therapy/ Childhood Deconditioning, Breathwork like Rebirthing and Pulsation, Tantra, Women’s Liberation work, the Path of Love, and silent (Vipassana)- as well as active meditation/ mindfulness retreats. Additionally, I spent decades as a bodyworker in physical therapy, where I worked closely with people from all walks of life. This shaped my understanding of the deep connection between physical experience, emotional life, and personal history.

Through my academic studies in Psychological Science and a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy, I noticed something that continues to inform my work: Much of our culture is focused on improvement—on getting better, moving forward, overcoming.
But I found that there are times in life—grief, loss, aging, uncertainty—where this way of thinking doesn’t quite fit. In these moments, something else is needed. I see these phases not as problems to solve, but as opportunities for deepening, reflection, and the development of self-compassion.

My work is about supporting you to meet these experiences differently—to listen more closely to what your life is asking of you, and to find your own way of being with it.
